This introductory module will cover normal blood glucose regulation in healthy patients. Dr. Zoran will define diabetes and discuss the different types of the disease as well as the pathogenesis, prevalence, and causes in both canine and feline patients. She will also review the clinical signs suggestive of diabetes and lay a foundation for basic treatment goals and monitoring strategies. |
